Past Programs:
MONEY FOR THE MOVEMENT
Money for the Movement was a program within
the Academy designed to train people of color how to become
fundraising trainers. It was started by Kim Klein
and the Center's former Executive Director, Nan Steketee, and
was made possible in part through a grant from The Philadelphia
Foundation.
The duration of the program was for several
months and started around the beginning of the year. The agenda
for trainings included class work, video tape training sessions,
co-facilitation with a seasoned SAGE graduate or trainer and
supervision of solo performances by the Center staff. Material
covered ranges from an intensive overview of fundraising to a
review of all materials covered in the SAGE program as well as
the a la carte TAFFT training
modules.
